Amazing new science breakthrough in health

Did you see 60 minutes this past Sunday? They did an amazing story of what the scientists are testing right now. It seems that there is a compound called ECM that they get from pigs that seems to regenerate tissues in our body. An example of this was a person who was without a hand. They used this ECM and took a hand from a cadaver and some bone marrow and attached it. The nerves and all the tissue attached and he is able to use his hand again - all without his body trying to reject the new hand. Another scene was from a soldier who had been his with schrapnel and part of his leg was blown away down to the bone. They used this ECM and now the muscles are regrowing. This has tremendous potential for repairing damaged parts of our bodies. Of course it also opens up a whole set of ethical and moral questions. But I found it to be very interesting.
